Customer Reviews

After several disappointing experiences with other brokers I found Ladbrook Insurance to be a breath of fresh air! Any queries I have had regarding my policy have been answered quickly and without any hassle.  The customer service is excellent. They have an extensive knowledge of their insurers and found me an excellent policy.  Thank you!

First class service from an agent who went above and beyond to source the perfect insurance for our charity, FASD Aware Northern Ireland.  Nothing was to much bother and someone was always on hand to answer any questions.  Thank you so much for all your help and for your kind and friendly service

Alison McNamara, FASD Aware NI

When we asked Ladbrook for a quote we had been looking for insurance cover for a month already with no luck.  As soon as we got in touch with Shelley and Tim we knew that they understood our sector better than anyone else. We felt that Ladbrook was genuinely interested to understand our work and to make sure that we had the right level of cover.  They also offered to review other insurance covers we had.  They worked on a very tight deadline and just before Christmas to secure cover for Micro Rainbow International.  It is the first time that we feel that our insurers actually care about protecting MRI’s important work for the community.  I am confident that this is the beginning of a long partnership.

Animal Shelter Insurance

Animal rescue carries it’s own risks, often with vehicles on the road.  Fundraising is also a key aspect to the life of an animal shelter.  Many of the animal shelters that we work with engage in a wide range of fundraising activities from fun days to rattling buckets and seeking donations of money or food.

Animal Sanctuaries have all of the traditional insurance risks we would associate with a charity blended with the unique aspects of working with animals.  Animal rescue carries it’s own risks, often with vehicles on the road.  Fundraising is also a key aspect to the life of an animal shelter.

We have helped a wide range of animal charities including:

  • Cat rehoming charities
  • Dog rehoming charities
  • Animal Shelters
  • City Farms
  • Animal rescue charities
  • Fundraising for animal causes
  • Bird rescue

We work with some charities that are involved in rehoming cats or dogs.  We will discuss the risks involved and the level of cover that is available to your animal support group.  Once an animal is rehomed, it is not usual for insurers to provide any cover, however, some charities rehome animals with volunteers and the liability of the group to those volunteers can sometimes be insured.  Public liability insurance will protect the group from allegations made by members of the public but employers liability insurance is required to provide the same cover for volunteers.

Insurers take different views on the cover they will offer and animal charities often have different needs, directed by their activities (rehoming / animal shelter / animal rescue).  We will always discuss the cover that your group requires before making our recommendation for your animal charity insurance.
