Aviva Community Fund 2016
Aviva have re-launched their Community Fund for 2016 and it is sure to be popular in an environment in which community groups are struggling to raise funding.
Aviva first launched the fund in 2011 offering successful groups grants of £1,000, £5,000,£10,000 or £25,000 across a range of six categories. The categories are:
- Health, disability and well-being
- Supporting the younger generation
- Supporting the older generation
- Sport in the community
- Community support
Ladbrook have supported clients applying bidding for funds before and would be happy to lend our support to any client or group seeking support. To get a first understanding of the community fund, read more following the link below.
Applications are made and the use of media is encouraged to bring the story of your community group to life. It is also imperative to encourage and promote your entry amongst supporters, friends and family as there is a voting mechanism helping decide on the allocation of funds. For successful groups, the funds are allocated in January 2017.
Lindsay Forster, UK & Ireland Customer Marketing Director for Aviva commented:
“We are passionate about improving and strengthening local community wellbeing and committed to extending our impact, working with our customers, shareholders and society to tackle challenges faced every day….. Following its success in Canada, Poland and the UK* where we saw over 3,321 local groups enter the competition last year with over 430 awarded funding, we’ve expanded the Aviva Community Fund to France, Italy and Hong Kong. I am sure the Aviva Community Fund in 2016 will exceed our expectations.”
