Meet the Ladbrook team

Martin Ladbrook
Founded the company at the start of the millennium having worked with Voluntary Sector Organisations since 1994. Qualified and registered as an Independent Financial Adviser as well as an Independent Insurance Broker, Martin devotes 99% of his time to the Voluntary Sector.

Having developed the company with Marie Hallowes, over the years Martin now spends more time giving talks and seminars to voluntary groups both small and large, who wish to understand the types of insurance cover available as well as whether or not they are needed. Martin says "Specialist independent advice should be available to all organisations, be wary of information received directly from insurance companies."

Marie Hallowes
Marie joined Martin Ladbrook on 7 February 2000, and assisted him with the start-up of the company, creating many of the systems and processes used by the company on a day-to-day basis.

She has played a key role in the development of the company and in its growth over the years. Starting as Assistant to Martin, Marie has progressed to Office & Broking Manager, to then go on to become Director of the company in 2009. Marie achieved her Cert CII qualification in 2007.

Shelley Bacon
Joined Ladbrook in November 2004 as Insurance Admin Assistant to Marie, but has gone to become Account Handler dealing with her own individual clients, providing them with a professional but friendly point of contact for all their insurance needs.

Shelley currently works on a part-time basis since becoming a mum for the first time in 2007. Shelley achieved her Cert CII qualification in 2007.

Kayleigh Long
Joined LADBROOK in July 2007, initially on a temporary basis to cover Reception. However, she was then offered the chance to remain with the company on a permanent basis as a Trainee Insurance Admin Assistant.

Kayleigh has since gone on to become an Account Handler with responsibility for her own clients, providing them with a professional, friendly and efficient means of contact on a day-to-day basis. Kayleigh achieved her Cert CII (Claims) qualification in November 2009.

Charlotte Byrne
Joined Ladbrook in March 2009 as the first point of contact providing a very pleasant and welcoming Reception to all of our callers.

Charlotte also provides general admin support for the whole team.
